Lubenice is a small village on the island of Cres located at the top of a cliff with the height of 378 meters above the sea.
There is a medieval fortress in Lubenice and the remains of medieval city wall and city gate. Besides the old square, there also are many chapels in Lubenice:
Lubenice is oval in its ground plan with two parallel streets which go through it from north to south. Streets in Lubenice have no names and house numbers range is only from one to forty two. There is no need for school in Lubenice due to the fact that no person is younger than 65 years old.
Below Lubenice there’s St John beach that was ranked fifteenth among the forty most beautiful beaches within the world by the German magazine Bild.
